On 14 July, 4 Engineer Support Regiment (4 ESR) held a Change of Command and Change of Appointment Ceremony to wish farewell to the outgoing CO and RSM, LCol William Dixon and CWO Shawn Sloot, and welcome the incoming command team, LCol Adam Poirier and CWO Frank Cross. This ceremony was presided over by Commander 6th Canadian Combat Support Brigade (6 CCSB), Col Frederic Pruneau.

4 ESR is the Army’s High Readiness Engineer Unit and is prepared to meet the demands of domestic and expeditionary crisis response. As the Army’s only General Support (GS) engineering unit, it pursues technical engineering excellence in GS engineering while maintaining the agility to transform to close support engineering, on order.

Stood up in April 2018, 6 CCSB generates professional, specialized, and resilient high-readiness forces that provide sustained, scalable and coordinated combat support enablers and effects to operations.
