Competency Remarks:
- Initiative to identify and solve problems;
- Ability to collect and analyze data and propose solutions to problems;
- Ability to work with minimum supervision;
- Ability to supervise subordinates and provide clear direction for the conduct of major Base support services;
- Valid Expenditure Management Course would be an asset. Should member not have certification the course will be required to
be completed within 6 months of position start date;
- AOC qualified (considered an asset);
- Experience with MS Office Suite;
- Competency in military writing; and
- Ability to speak publicly in front of groups of various sizes.
Basic description of duties:
- Manage Formation taskings and resources: Personnel, equipment, ammunition, and rations;
- Produce orders and attend operational planning groups in support of current operations;
- Coordinate all domestic and contingency taskings;
- Keep current on 5 CDSG FG and operational capabilities;
- Staff Commander’s Critical Information Requirements and liaise with Comd on these and additional reports; and
- Conduct DOMOPS FG, monitor Atlantic Canada’s environmental factors and BPT support IRU requirements.
