The Fifth Canadian Division Support Base (5 CDSB) Gagetown will open select training areas for the 2023 moose hunting season. The designated hunting period will run from September 26th to September 30th

Entry: Access to the RTA will start at 12 p.m. on September 25 and conclude on October 1 at 12 p.m. The entry points into the range will be through Range Control at 5 CDSB Gagetown or via the Camp Petersville entrance accessible through Highway 7.

Available Training Areas: Zones 7 to 46 and 48 to 53 are open for hunting.

Access Passes: Hunters must obtain their passes at the Range Control Building (K-69) on the base. The office will open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., from September 18 to September 30, including the weekends. To expedite the process, please bring photocopies of valid identification and vehicle registration, including for ATVs.

Safety Measures: No hunters or recreational vehicles will be permitted to enter the training areas before 12 p.m. on September 25. All must exit by 12 p.m. on October 1. Overnight camping is permitted but will require registration with Range Control. Open fires are subject to the local fire index; please call Range Control for confirmation.
