On May 5, 2022, members of the 5 CDSB Gagetown Defense Aboriginal Advisory Group (DAAG), including members of Base Chaplaincy, participated in the Wabanaki, Indigenous and Allied Men’s March in support of the REDress project in Downtown Fredericton. The March’s intent was to bring awareness to and support the REDress project which draws attention to the gendered and racialized nature of violent crimes against Aboriginal women. The March was a success as several members of the DAAG and Chaplaincy walked with local Indigenous groups to show their support to the REDress March.
