As of Monday, June 28, 2021, the Gagetown Fitness Centre will reopen to civilian recreation members!

Services available on June 28, 2021, will include access to all workout areas of the fitness centre while respecting the posted maximum capacities of each area. The hours of operation are included below and as we work on our staff rebuild and recruitment please note the maximum numbers of people per session. To book your spot and ensure you able to enjoy your workout at a certain timing please go to PSP Online – Public Access (cfmws.com) if you already have an account. If you do not have an account, here is how to create one (PSP Online – Public Access (cfmws.com)).

Entry to the fitness centre will require a military ID or rec association card (expired cards accepted). Contact tracing and sanitation requirements necessitate that we continue with the one hour booked times until Phase 3 of the provincial Path to Green (anticipated August 2).

The processing of Recreation card renewals will commence for existing memberships on July 12 by appointment. More information on how to book appointments will follow.

You can help us rebuild our team by directing interested and qualified personnel to Current Openings (cafconnection.ca). Positions will be posted as soon as possible. We are especially looking for lifeguards, certified fitness instructors, front desk supervisors and front desk attendants.

Fitness Centre Rules: Please note that COVID-19 rules and restrictions are still in place within the fitness centre. These rules may differ from the current provincial rules.

When you arrive at the gym, you will be asked the provincial COVID screening questions and then asked to sign in for contact tracing. Those registered will receive entry to the fitness centre 15 minutes prior to the booking period. The fitness centre is closed after a one hour session for sanitation and then reopened 15 minutes prior to the next session.
All equipment is 2m apart, so once you are at your station and utilizing a bench, machine or piece of cardio equipment you can remove your mask. If you are moving around the building, playing a sport or moving to get weights you need to replace your mask. Masks are required any time 2m distancing cannot be maintained (ie. spotting – both the spotter and person performing an exercise are required to wear a mask).

Members are asked to take a spray bottle and towel with them upon entering the gym. Members should spray equipment before and after use. Bottles and towels should be returned to the entryway on your way out of the building.

Changerooms/showers are still closed but there is a coat room set up to your right when you enter the facility. Please come dressed for your workout.
