On June 6, 2022, Cpl Tshibungu, of 3 Military Police Detachment Gagetown, and Cst Vidal, of the RCMP Oromocto Detachment, attended École des Batisseurs for the purpose of sharing their knowledge about a career in law enforcement.
The two police officers wanted to build a positive perspective between policing agencies and the communities they serve. Cpl Tshibungu and Cst Vidal who are both proud Canadian citizens serving Canada, who continue to offer unique perspectives as landed immigrants and visible minorities.
The grade two class was fascinated with their presentation and were eager to answer questions relating to safety and current world events. The school visit was a change from their everyday policing duties and was a refreshing experience to see the enthusiasm and genuine interest from the young and captivated audience.
